Jaldesa community conservancy (JCC) is a community-based wildlife conservation organization
located in Sagante/Jaldesa Ward, Saku constituency of Marsabit County. It covers four major
administrative locations, namely, Qilta, Sagante, Dirib and Jaldesa. JCC was registered in 2012 as a Community Based organization (CBO). Conservancy is a critical buffer zone that host a rich diversity of plant and animal species. The conservancy is an ecosystem of ecological importance especially in Northern Kenya biodiversity conservation and it border Marsabit National Park.

The objective of the conservancy is to incorporate local community in wildlife conservation and protection while preserving the community’s unique lifestyle, enhance livelihood, restore rangelands, empower youths and women through skill development and to ensure peaceful coexistence among the resident communities

MISSION

to provide a platform for sustainable protection and use of resources within jaldesa community land for income generation through ecofriendly tourism activities that shall address health, water, education, livestock, infrastructure and wealth creation for future generations.
